Even though this isn’t the most visually attractive piece, it made a big impact on me as a writer.
When Cancer Research UK’s next doordrop was briefed, I really wanted to get under the skin of what it’s like to live with cancer, so I spent an afternoon with Nigel. Nigel was diagnosed with inoperable, incurable, prostate cancer 10 years before. This inspirational man told me all about his highs and lows, shared his hopeful vision for the future and then, let me write a letter in his name to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
It turned out to be one of Cancer Research UK's most successful doordrops, but I was most satisfied with Nigel's appreciation throughout the project.
